First “snow” was today, October 11. No accumulation so far, but down in the forties.
I bought 6 velcro winter covers, so I look forward to seeing how they work.
Last weekend I checked all of the hives when it was in the mid sixties. My main hives look ready for winter. My double nuc needed two more gallons of syrup, which they put down in three days. My hives up in oak grove needed a little more syrup. I added a full bucket to my strong hive, stacked my two single box hives and fed the top with just a bit that was left.
